Robots guidance
Another possible application of a machine vision system is to obtain information necessary for guiding robots. This will offset fluctuations both in position and morphology of the parts and use that information to assist and adapt the path to be followed by deburring robot cells, grinding, sanding and polishing, as well as machining centers.
Machine vision technology can also be used in Pick-Up & Place applications, which consist in locating the position of an object, estimating their spatial coordinates for later pick and move to a particular location.
